Pierre Aubert

Pierre is an artist who wishes to remain anonymous and let his artwork speak for itself.

He has lived in New Zealand for many decades and has been captivated by its breathtaking landscapes, tranquil atmosphere, and the warmth of its people. Drawn to the rugged beauty of the South Island, he settled in, embracing the laid-back Kiwi lifestyle and the serenity of the land.

It was the striking Wakatipu region, with its towering mountains and sweeping valleys, that inspired Pierre’s artistic journey. The changing light and shadows across the landscape sparked his exploration of monochromatic tones black, white, and endless shades of grey, allowing him to capture the raw essence of the land. To add depth and richness to his work, Pierre incorporates 24ct gold leaf, creating a luminous contrast that brings an added layer of emotion and texture to his pieces.

He is now represented in several galleries throughout New Zealand; Pierre’s work is attracting increasing attention from collectors and art lovers. His unique use of gold leaf and his evocative approach to landscape art have found a growing audience, making his pieces sought after for their emotional depth and contemporary aesthetic.
