Merrilyn Jaquiery

She was appointed the first honorary Life Member of World Wildlife Fund New Zealand in October 1985 in recognition for her outstanding contribution and support to the cause of conservation.

Merrilyn Jaquiery

Merrilyn Jaquiery, infuses a rare beauty into her art and her use of colour is not only sensitive but truly inspiring. Her attention to detail is precise, without losing creative flair which distinguishes her work.

Born in New Zealand, Merrilyn is internationally recognised as being among the top wildlife artists in the world.

In 1981 Merrilyn was commissioned by World Wildlife Fund New Zealand to paint the endangered ground parrot Kakapo for His Royal Highness Prince Phillip, the Duke of Edinburgh. Merrilyn was appointed the first honorary Life Member of World Wildlife Fund New Zealand in October 1985 in recognition for her outstanding contribution and support to the cause of conservation.

Her originals are keenly sought after in the United States from where she has received numerous commissions from leading art collectors.
