“Macraes” takes the industrial landscape of the Macraes gold mine and abstracts it in a very angular, graphic way. Beneath the plant, the sediment layers or tailings are depicted in gradients. These gradients give a sense of depth, showing the layers of the earth in a subtle, stylized way.
